Seeking Temporary Nanny for Toddler in Montclair, NJ

Family’s Location: Montclair, NJ
Number of children and Age: 1 child, toddler
Type of Position: Full-time, live out. 
Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm (55 hours a week)
Compensation: $35
Start Date: May/June for about three months.

A warm and loving family in Montclair, NJ, is seeking a temporary nanny for their 1-year-old. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for toddlers and a genuine passion for childcare and child development. This role requires someone who is compassionate, proactive, and an effective communicator, with the confidence to support various developmental milestones and handle different situations with ease. A nanny who can foster a nurturing, engaging, and calm environment through creativity and attentiveness will thrive in this role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Safety first. 
* Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the toddler
* Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
* Manage daily care and supervision of the toddler
* Adhere to the newborn’s schedule (e.g., Naps, feeding, doctors appointments, plan playdates and classes.)
* Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
* Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
* Ability to plan fun activities, keeping the newborn active and engage
* Ability to bottle feed, and eventually make very simple meals for the toddler.
* Laundry for the toddler 
* Knowledge on how to potty train
* Keeping track of inventory. 
* Manage all aspects of the toddler’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications: 
* US, Work Authorization
* Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
* Infant and toddler experience
* Driver’s License
* Up to date on all vaccinations (Covid, Flu and Tdap)
* CPR and First-Aid certifications
