Patient & Engaging Nanny Needed in Montclair, NJ
Montclair, NJ
A loving family in Montclair, NJ, is looking for a nanny for their 6-month-old infant and 3-year-old son. The candidate must be engaging and passionate about the children's development. The oldest son is quite active, funny, affectionate, and talkative. He loves vehicles, digging outside, asking “why?” and making long make-believe stories. The baby is social, smiley, and lovely. The candidate must also be mindful of allergies; the oldest is allergic to eggs, sesame, and raw dairy. The family is very sensitive to smells, so the candidate must be mindful of wearing strong perfumes/fragrances.
The ideal candidate for this position is peaceful, kind, creative, and curious. Most importantly, the candidate should share the parents’ belief that babies and young children are whole people, capable of much in their own right, and deserve respect and support as they navigate this challenging (and fun!) period of rapid growth. Someone with initiative, who is organized, patient, and knows how to resolve issues independently. A background in early childhood education is always great. However, experience working with Pre-K and infants is mandatory.
Parents would prefer not to wear an apple watch or any Bluetooth-like device that would be regularly contacting the children while working.
