Families Location: Darien, CT
Number of children and Age: 2 sons, ages 7 years old and 5 years old.
Type of Position: Part time, Live out. Must be flexible.
Schedule: Mondays through Thursdays. Mondays & Thursdays are from 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm, and Tuesdays & Wednesdays are from 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm (15-20 hours a week.).
Compensation & benefits: $30-$35/hr. DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, most federal holidays and 5 sick days.).
Start Date: 03/03/2025.
Travel Required: No
Additional info: There will be days where the family would like the candidate to stay late. This is separate from the work hours but will be paid occasionally.

A warm and welcoming family of four in Darien, CT, is seeking a dedicated and experienced nanny-cook or private chef to join their household. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, the ability to create thoughtful and nutritious meal plans, and the skills to prepare meals for the entire family. In addition to culinary responsibilities, the role includes supervising the family’s two sons, with a particular focus on caring for the younger child when he is home.

The family values a candidate who is organized, proactive, self-motivated, and capable of solving problems independently. Both parents work from home—though the father follows a hybrid schedule—so the candidate should be comfortable working in a household with parents present. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, supportive, and family-oriented environment.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Prioritize safety and maintain a clean environment for their household, adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Engage their youngest son in activities that promote intellectual and social development, such as music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.
It is also required to upkeep their household supplies and perform daily ‘refreshing’ of the household which includes organization, laundry, and making their beds.
Must be able to identify and perform household tasks including shopping, light housekeeping, organizing, dishes, laundry, and meal preparation.
Manage daily routines, including mealtime, nap, and play schedules for their children. Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying children's areas, organizing toys and books.

Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 4 years of Nanny experience or private chef.
Must be able to cook and plan meals for the family.
Experience in caring for school-age children.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
