Families Location: Upper West Side Manhattan, NY
Number of children and Age: 1 child, 1 years old.
Type of Position: Full-Time, Live Out
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6:30 pm
Compensation: This position is $30-$35 per hour DOE, PTO (e.g., paid federal holidays, 2 weeks of vacation, and sick days). A discretionary performance bonus, Metrocard, Healthcare Stipend.
Start Date: December 1st.
Travel Required: No.

Family Overview
A warm and active professional family on the Upper West Side, NYC, is seeking an experienced and reliable nanny to care for their 1 year old son. An individual with extensive experience caring for infants and toddlers, possessing a deep understanding of child developmental milestones, and the ability to create a nurturing and enriching environment for young children. The ideal nanny must be warm, patient, reliable, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Following and respecting the parent’s guidance is important. It’s a bonus if they can find someone bilingual in Italian or Spanish who is willing to primarily communicate in that language with the baby.


Childcare Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Someone knowledgeable on child development and focused on making sure their son is doing all of the right activities, reading to him throughout the day, talking to him all day and focused on interacting with him and teaching him, taking him to classes, setting up playdates, etc
Cooking meals for him. They would love to find someone who is a great cook. Their son doesn't eat packaged or processed food, so at least light cooking is necessary)
Taking son to appointments if parents are not able;
Light housekeeping: Loading/unloading dishwasher, doing child's laundry, ideally helping at least turnover other laundry throughout the day;
Keeping their room clean/organized (including changing his sheets, vacuuming, packing up clothes that no longer fit him, providing a list of items he needs in next size up, etc); dishwashing all bottles/pump parts/dishes that are used by or for the baby, cleaning up floor/kitchen/high chair/tray after meals/snacks


Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn and toddler Experience
Italian or Spanish Speaker is a huge plus
Up to date on all vaccinations, including annual flu shot
COVID vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Strong cooking skills
